What Chicago restaurant would be memorable for 8 european business guests?
In europe they take me to elegant places. I'm not sure I want to try and compete. Perhaps something edgy? What would have mega impact? These guys are from switzerland and germany, in their 30's and 40's.

well they are in Chicago so you HAVE to take them for Chicago Deep Dish Pizza. Yes I know it is not elegant but you can get that almost anyplace what you can't get anyplace in the world but Chicago is Chicago Deep Dish Pizza. So take them to Lou Malnatti's for one meal now you have to figure out where else to go....
The other thing that is exceptionally good in the Mid West is the beef so I would fit in a great Steakhouse there are plenty in Chicago. Nothing better than a good steak. And if you are looking for mega impact what an impact a 32 ounce steak would make when it is set in front of your guest.
Check out http://www.restaurant.com/ and look in the Chicago area and narrow your search for the type of food or ambiance you want. You can make reservations or just look at menus. there is also the Dinner Cruise so you could take in the view of the city from the lake. I think it is the Odyssey and they did/do have discount certificates on restaurant.com
