Is San Diego State University a good school?

I'm in community college right now and I'm knocking out all of my General Education requirements. I'm in good standing and I've got a 3.9 GPA but I'm not sure I can make a UC school. In case I don't is SDSU a good option? I feel in this economic environment a degree from that school is not good enough. If I don't make UC would should I go to SDSU?

    With a 3.9 you should be able to get into most UC's so use SDSU as a safety school.

    Unless you bomb the SAT or ACT, you will get into a UC school.

    And note that ALL state universities meet the definition of "good school".
