im buying my first gundam model kit and im wondering what i need or anything i should know. also if the instructions come in english or not if it helps im getting the x10a freedom mg, and rg aile strike

1. you simply need a pair of nippers if you are starting out:

I've had these for a while, and they've been quite handy, my most used tool in gunpla building
2. Instructions come in japanese, but all the numbers necessary for building the kit are in english. english speakers have no problem building the kits (plus, Bandai is smart enough not to alienate a large amount of their consumer base by not having english instructions)
3. nothing you really need to know. Just build your first kits plain and simple. don't get ahead of yourself and start buying a bunch of tools that you may think you need (but probably won't end up using). All you really need is a pair of nippers. once you've built a few kits just plain, start experimenting with small painting here and there if you want.
4.For someone starting out, tt hongli kits are lower priced, and almost the same quality as bandai, so its not as bad if you mess up. check out: http://gundamcentral.weebly.com/
