my computer is not working, PLEASE HELP!?
i have a compaq presario cq40 and it will not charge. I thought it was overheating so we checked the fan and all of that but that wasnt the problem, then we thought it was the battery so we got a new one but it still wont turn on. what else could it be? please help meee

Your laptop's ac charging port may be broken. If you use the laptop and the power cord is pushed into awkward positions such as if you use the laptop on your lap the cord may bend inside the laptop. If your good with laptops you can TRY to fix it yourself but its a very difficult processes. You can also try to contact the laptop's company to see if they are willing to fix it(of course for a price),

If its refusing to turn on even at all there might be some type of damage to the laptop itself.. probably nothing you can do to it unless you know how to take a laptop apart and change hardware. which i highly recommend you not do. If you have a warranty on it i would call the manufacture and have them RMA it and get a new one. sometimes they will let you keep the hard drive so you don't lose all the information. Hope this helps a little bit

check your power cord , or charger, you can do it with a voltmeter. I has the same problem the charger wasn't working and my battery was also bad.
I got some good deals on e-bay.
