Can you use a black light for hermit crabs?

For there habitat??, I want to make sure it's safe for them.

    Depends. Just a black colored light or UV? I wouldn't use UV due to it's possibility of be harmful to them. Normal heating lights(if that's why you're using one) will do fine.

    Actually, I never ever needed to use any lights...

    No UVs to stay safe.

    If it is UV I'd leave it be... if not you could use it at night as a heat bulb!
