is Blackberry messenger free on contract?

im getting a contract phone its a bb obviously i was wondering if i could use bbm for free along with the contract i read somewhere i need to have a data plan does that mean i can use the 500mb internet usage for the bbm or do i have to pay for that

    There is NO one answer as some contracts include BBM, some don't. If not included it costs approx £5:00 pm. So you need to ask before you sign up.

    Yes, it is free even with out a contract black berry messenger (bbm) is free!
