what are the girders on uss arizona's foremast?

they could be radio mast or maybe for signal flags?

Update:

they are on port and starboard sides and are triangular erector set looking. what the heck happened to my question? It shouldn't have the 's in my question. I thought the girders could be for signals but doesn't seem to have any halyards going down to the signals deck.

The beams extending off to port and starboard of either side of the crow's nest and director's room support halyards for signal flags.

I don't see any other girders like you're talking about. Do you have any good pictures of it?
