How much does a DNA test for cockatiels cost?
I have an Albino Cockatiel we bought from a breeder. He told us it was a female. So we put it inside a cage with a Lutino male and a Pearl female cockatiel. Weird thing is was that she was whistling and had its wings shaped like a heart. So we decided to do a DNA test to find out if it's a male or female. But the question is, how much does it cost? Thanks in advance! :)

Its not very expensive, about $30.
I also have an albino cockatiel that is female. If you look under her tail you will still be able to see faint barring (if its female).

There are several companies you can contact online . Its about $20 to $30 per bird. Make sure you don't breed the lutino sand the albino. Lutino are a form of albinism and tend to give weak clutches with health issues.

i think of you're able to verify around at diverse vet places of work for expenditures of DNA finding out. commonly DNA finding out expenditures approximately 25$. you additionally can ask the fowl medical institution in the event that they could do the try with out the completed verify up. (yet to be trustworthy, you're able to have your fowl get a verify up as quickly as a 365 days, so why no longer get all of it finished at as quickly as) another techniques of attempting to establish the intercourse, could be to pay attention on your cockatiel's vocalizations. All cockatiels will make calls and could make some noise, yet adult males are universal to be the main vocal. Does she mimic sounds and songs? have you ever caught her whistling? those ought to be signs and warning signs of her being a male. besides the incontrovertible fact that, there are some women who will vocalize like a male.

Depends on where you go for it. Talk to your vet. You do know that it being albino does not mean it will parent an albino
