Good storage for vinyl records?

I have been acquiring some records lately, and at the moment, they are just lying around in random places in my bedroom. I have been redecorating my room lately, so I would hate to add some ugly shelving just to store my vinyls when I am not listening to them. Any good, creative ways to store them?

Keep them in their covers if possible, in a COOL, DRY area of your home. Not in the basement or attic. Store in boxes or containers VERTICALLY. Don't lay them down on their side. The pressure will eventually warp them. I still have my albums from the 1960"s and they still play.

All sorts of ready made crates out there. Try for something w/ a lid for long term storage. If you do build something , keep it light & not too big if it is to be moved. More than a few albums weigh quite a bit. Proper way to store them is standing on edge . Best regards

I store my records in a case similar to this one

This has proven to be the most effective for me, as they cannot fall out of it when it is closed, or get crushed by something accidentally falling on it, like they could if you were to store them in a cardboard box.

Easiest thing to use is just cardboard boxes. They're big, cheap and they can hold a lot.

If you want something cooler and more robust go for some flight cases
