Making Crystal sparkle?

Whatever you do, do NOT put your crystal in the dishwasher as eventually it will ruin it beyond repair. Crystal should always be washed at room temperature water with a little mild soap added. It should not be left to dry in the air but but with a soft dish towel. The dish towel should not have been treated with fabric conditioner as it will leave a film on the glass.

To restore sparkle add 1/4 cup of white wine vinegar to a bowl of water at room temperature. Dip the crystal in and then dry and polish with a soft dish towel.

If you have a crystal vase or decanter that is dirty inside fill it with warm water and then add a denture cleaning tablet.

Wash in hot soapy water, sing a soft scrubbing brush, an old toothbrush will do. Let it sit in clean, very hot water for a few minutes then drain and dry. Or do it as I do, put it in the dishwasher on hot wash and dry. It will look beautiful. I have Stuart crystal from my grandmother, Waterford crystal from my Mum and my own Orefes and Swarazki
