Are all Texans rude or just the ones I run into?
The past couple of days, I have been calling an airport in Houston for information on my flight. (I live in Cleveland, Ohio).
Every person I've talked to has been extremely rude and snappy. One of them even had the courage to hang up the phone on me because she couldn't understand my question.
I'm not trying to generalize, but it's crazy that these people are in the customer service section of the airport and they can't even do their job correctly! I'm ranting here...sorry lol

Just the ones you run into. Trust me, I'm a Texan and I'm pretty far from rude unless you give me a reason to be rude to you.
Talking to people on the phone always opens you up to rude and snappy people. Especially if they have been having a long, tiresome day. I would assume that trying to talk to so many people talking all at once would be an "Ughhh" experience especially if some of the people wear out your Patience.

Just the ones you run into lol I'm from Texas and honestly I am the nicest person ever. I'm only rude if someone is rude to me but that's not very often :) as for our education, if it was so basic, I wouldn't have been accepted to Yale. And manners and politeness were taught in my family. So ya its probably just the texans that you met because all people aren't like that. And not everyone is religious there. You people should probably get to actually know a person before you start being hateful toward them

Texans are by and large a very nice group of people. I would venture to say that if every Texan you run across in this situation is rude and snappy, it probably has a lot more to do with how you're approaching the situation.

I have relatives in texas, and one of them went and spent like 50 dollars on food and clothes for a homeless family in front of a gas station.
like i'm not even kidding. she even offered to drive them and buy them one night at a hotel.
like NO JOKE.
so not every Texan is rude. I'm so sorry about what has happened to you at the airport and i hope that you get what you need without someone being uber ugly to you about it.

It's like that with all airport people. People who work in airports are always mean, in all airports. Once you get to Houston you will see how nice the people are because of their southern hospitality.

Your just running into the wrong ones. Texans are overwhelmingly nice and hospitable....... unlike people from the northeast who are generally very rude

Not all of them no(obviously)
It wouldn't be a place I want to live though with all those religious zealots. They're a tad crazy in those states over there...
Sigh, no offence to normal religious folks but most Texans can be called almost as crazy as the damn Taliban in their convictions about religion.

I know a few people from Texas and they're all nice people.
Then again, I'm in Nova Scotia, and typical Texans don't move to Nova Scotia!
