Ok I have a bit of an iPod touch Problem...?
Here's what I have first;
iPod Touch 3rd Gen.
I Jailbroke it last year, never did a software update. Cydia wouldn't download half the apps on to my home page. so yesterday I decided it would be a great idea to instead of plugging my iPod into my pc and have it come up into iTunes, I used the reset virtual button. Well, long story short, all my touch does now is shows the power on Apple screen, then it loads a circle, and shuts itself off, only to turn back on and repeat this cycle. What I am wondering is if this loading is the iPod deleting my 29.9GB of data I have on it? Or did I just brick my iPod? I've tried most of the thing what were said online, but to obviously no avail. If someone on the community could help me resolve my issue, I'd be very pleased, and of course give you best answer...
Oh I meant apps on Installous! But thanks! I'll try that too. If There are any more ways I could Un-Freeze my iPod, answer my question intelligently!

I think that your data is lost, but I have a solution to unfreezing it.
You need to connect it to your computer and press the following buttons in this precise sequence: (power button- rectangular button on top, home button- round button on the front bottom)
WHILE CONNECTED TO THE COMPUTER:
Hold the power button for 2 seconds
WITHOUT LETTING GO OF THE POWER BUTTON-hold the home button too- both of them together should be held for ten seconds.
Then, WITHOUT LETTING GO OF THE HOME BUTTON, let go of the power button and keep holding the home button until your computer registers that your iPod has connected, then restore using iTunes.
If this didn't work then just try again.
Good luck!

Well most of the things on cydia aren't apps, but are themes or tweaks that can be accesed from settings or winterboard. Thats probabily why you couldnt see most apps. So the big problem- you're in a restart loop. That also happened to me. I installed a theme and when I started up it restarted. It was really fustrating, I know what you feel. So what I did is found the theme folder that did that and deleted it from my computer from iPhone Browser. If it did that when you recently installed a package, then it must be causing the problems. Im pretty sure that your ipod isnt bricked, so you might be able to connect it to your comp and delete the files. If it restarts as soon as it boots, then That might be a problem. If you do delete the files that are causing the problem, all your files will be there. If you want to try, then you can download iPhone browser (windows) or iExplorer (mac). Hope this helped.

a sturdy gaming computer for merely $800 would not exist. i'm afraid you're going to might want to get a private computer in case you want a good gaming gadget for that cost, yet both way it wont be "truly good and stuff"
