parking location issue in condo?

unit owner owns two units in the building, i am one of his tenants. his second tenant is chinese and has a problem with the numbering assigned to their parking spot. Their parking spot location has a number 4 in it, so they are complaining to the unit owner that they want their spot to be switched with mine since it is unlucky for them.

I have no issue switching with them my parking spot, but I wanted to get the opinion of others and their view on the matter. I did rather use my assigned parking spot and have them take the parking spot issue to management since i dont want to be involved with it. what do others think?

Update:

I prefer not to move to be honest, its really not my problem the building decided to have parking spots with the number 4 in them.

PS; they are not my neighbours in anyway, there pakring spot is on the second floor and mine on the first.

    The number 4 is considered very unlucky in Chinese culture. Many Chinese will not even purchase a home if it has the number 4 in the house address.

    If you have no issue switching parking stalls then as a courtesy go ahead.

    Edit: If you're asking whether or not you should move you've really answered your own question. You have said you "prefer" not to have to move. It is not about the Chinese tenant having some kind of a problem. It is simply a superstition of Chinese culture. As you say it is between the landlord and the Chinese tenant. You can either ask the landlord to make the decision for you without your input or you can tell the landlord that it makes no difference [ie: that you have no issue switching]. If you are saying you prefer not to move then tell the landlord that.

    You are right to involve the owner on this. Some HOA groupies are really sticklers for the rules and could make a fuss once they realize you and other tenants have switched spots. Might not seem like a big deal, but to some, well, small issues matter, and matter allot.

    If the current unit is more convenient for you, you should not be obligated to change

    But since it is a BIG issue for them and none or small issue for you, switching would be the considerate, neighborly thing to do

    Get it in writing, between you and other tenant and your joint LL

    If it's not an inconvenience to you, then just switch. We have to get along with our neighbors:)

    However, if the spot is too far from your unit, then just stay firm with your parking assignment.
