Can I roam in Japan with my Nokia E71?
I have to go to Japan from India for some days. I have Nokia E71 and Vodafone connection. Can I receive and make calls from there (with international roaming activated)?
I have dialed Vodafone costumer care and they have no idea about it :(

I have heard that mobiles only with certain frequencies work there.

Vodafone in japan uses the softbank network. You can download maps of their service areas here - http://mb.softbank.jp/en/customer_support/service_...
I'm not sure what a Nokia E71 uses, but there is no 2G network in Japan. If it uses 3G you will be able to make and receive calls in Japan.

yeah definitely you can ...and its a wise choice to carry your mobile phone with you.... but believe me international charges are very high.
