regarding headache to a neurologist?
hi i m reshma from andhrapradesh india..i m 22 years old(female)i would ask u something about my health..i.e;exactly before three i went to china to persue medicine under graduation n there started my problem aftr spending one year there...one day suddenly i got a severe headache frm tht day it was getting worsen day by day...i hv been to docotr there n got done c.t n it was negative n doc suggested me to take the pain killers..n as i m back there was no use whole day mild headache suddenly i get severe head ache n every thng blank bfr my eyes n some times dizziness n weakness so again i visited to hospital then othr doc told tht she has doubt tht the problem is wid fluid in the brain n she told me we cant tell u abt this...n she gave me drugs as i m not satisfies wid the treatment over there i m back to my place hyderabad n consulted a doctor again n he asked me to gt ct done n again i gt it done n doc told me tht it is negative n it is one of the types of migrane headache..n he gave me drugs tht too pain killers i used it whole 2 years n pain dint decrease at all same mild headache whole day n severe sometimes...n i stop consulting doctors n taking pain killers wen ever i get severe headache bt frm past one week i m suffering wid very severe headache n weakness n even hving nausea..n pain in my limbs n all very scared dnt understand weather i consult othr doc n get the ct done again or not...so pls if u can suggest me some thing i would be very thankful to u...pls let me know as soon as possible so tht i start my treatment...thank

Hello,
I feel sure that you do not have a brain tumour. I would agree that some type of Migraine, seems the most likely thing. Migraine is a very painful sort of headache, and unfortunately there is no cure for it, (although it may get better with time).
There are two sorts of treatment for Migraine. The first type is to prevent you from getting the migraine headaches so often. The second type is for treating a new migraine headache, if you still get one.
You don't say what your doctors have prescribed, so we can't tell you whether this is the best and the most up-to-date treatment.
We don't know if you have seen a proper Neurologist in India, but if not then perhaps you should. Is that going to be possible?
