I'm so confused about this. Help please?

This girl I was interested in, told me she wasn't interested and I asked if she would love to be friends. She said yes and asked some casual questions. Anyways I lent her my sweater from our first date and I went to pick it up yesterday. However i noticed some things out of the usual, when I parked she started walking towards my car but I got out and approached her and she looked sad and kept frowning. It looked like she want to talk but I got my sweater told her it was nice getting to know you and as I walked back to my car I turned around and said stay safe. She also had on her sweater and it looked like she was out for awhile. I feel so bad for doing that, like maybe I should've hear her out but i didn't i just walked away. But then I wonder what could she have possibly say after she told me that she wasn't interested in me because "I'm super nice" and etc. So I texted her today and asked that if she wanted to talk last night cause it looked like she did. I'm waiting for her text and I'm not gonna text back until she replies, but yea. I'm so confused by this.
