For masculine gay men who go for feminine gay men and vise versa for lesbian women why not just ...?

Why not become or stay bisexual or straight since if masculine gay men like feminine gay men which represents a woman why not gay masculine men become bisexual or straight all the way?

Because if a masculine gay guy dates a feminine gay guy which would play the female role why not gay masculine guys just go for women? does it have to with sexual arousal toward an opposite sex's genitals for example, so that's why men stay or go gay?

(sorry if this is complicated to understand.)

lgbt: what are your opinions?

p.s. i am no trying to/mean to start a ranting or venting session or trying to/ mean to be offensive in any way possible. i am simply asking an innocent opinion of everyone.

Update:

@ livewire9: "mind your own business dear" you say? well kind sir, if i were to do that as well as all the users on this site, we wouldn't have a yahoo answers site would we? questions are all about not minding your own business. if we always minded are own businesses we would be extremely ignorant as humans. be proud that i want to learn about this kind of information rather than living under some rock. =)

No I completely understand you. I'm a lesbian and I have absolutely no idea why a woman would purposely look like/act like/dress like a man. If you wanted to attract a lesbian, why would you? I don't want to be with a girl who is practically a man without a penis. If I was bisexual, sure, maybe.

The same goes for gay men, except there are far more gay men who act like women than lesbians who act like men. I don't understand it either.

I know that there are transgendered people, or "gender queer" people. It's like a girl who transitions into a guy and expects to pick up a girl at a lesbian bar. Why on earth would you think a lesbian would find you attractive, wouldn't that just be insulting your sexuality?

    I don't get it.

Well, not all masculine gay men like feminine gay men, or masculine lesbians like feminine lesbians. For instance, I am bisexual, but I like feminine people. I prefer feminine men & women, but I am also more feminine myself. I think, if a man wanted a woman, he'd have a woman. It's not about him wanting a feminine man because they're feminine, but because they're male. And I think if you want male genitalia, no amount of masculinity in a female is going to suffice for her lack of male genitalia. Sexuality isn't really black & white. It's not just that someone is "gay" or "straight." People are attracted to different things for different reasons. Also, a feminine energy male is certainly not a female. And a masculine energy female is certainly not a male. There is also a difference between having feminine or masculine energy and being transgender, and in that case, the person should be identified as the gender they feel they are, not the one they are born as. I hope I'm making sense.

    "Why not become or stay"

If your gay that is it, you can't become or stay anything. You are born gay just like you are born straight.

Feminine and masculine are just that two words the represent the way a person acts or is not a gender so either can be either.

No matter how someone acts they still have male or female parts. A feminine man is still a man with male parts. Also just because someone is feminine does not mean they will be the bottom(no such thing as female role with two men they are both men), so of my best friends are feminine gay men and they are total tops not bottoms. Gay men like males parts not girl parts.

It's not "too complicated to understand," darling, it's too inane to consider.

    1. One does not "become" bi or heterosexual, any more than YOU "became" heterosexual.

    2. Take a look at a picture of a naked man.

    3. Take a look at a picture of a naked woman.

    4. Note the differences.

    5. Then realizer that THOSE DIFFERENCES are the reason that gay men prefer MEN and lesbians prefer WOMEN. And that is not going to change.

The first time you asked this, it could be "innocent." But you and others have asked this same foolish question at least a dozen times in the last week. You might as well search the archives so people don't waste their time trying to break through impenetrable ignorance.

So "becoming" any particular sexual orientation is a losing battle. However, many masculine gay guys like other masculine gay guys. The fixation on feminine guys among gay guys is not as prevalent as you'd think, but I do know I specifically dig a guy with feminine qualities. Doesn't have to make sense.

I think the problem with your question is your own concept of "gender" so to put it... a feminine man is like a woman...... Think of this more like a grey scale or a choice of a particular shade of color. Imagine someone saying duhhh... why want a pink shirt get white or read... or Grey pffs its black or white... and lets not get into anything with stripes or a color fade or patterns.....

The particular combination of attributes that makes anyone sexually attracted to someone else are many, quite varied and sometimes contradiction.... Hard but gentle, strong but sensitive.

I don't particularly believe that anyone is 100 % anything...sometimes attraction to someone of the competing sex (be it same or not) is masked by jealousy but its present.

Anyhow in the end it all boils down to the one person you like.....And the most important thing is

If I'm not one of the two people in the relationship why should I care?

-SIGHHHH- Butch lesbians do not "represent" men. I don't like men, i like women. Whether she be masculine or feminine, she's still a woman. I wear ties when i get formal, but im nowhere close to being a man.

EDIT: and btw, i catn make myself be straight or bisexual. The way you said that implies that everyone is born straight and then CHOOSES a sexuality. It doesnt work that way, hun.

A masculine gay man is not the same as a masculine lesbian. And a feminine gay man is not the same as a feminine lesbian. People are attracted to others accordingly.

I am a silver star lesbian - meaning that I've had sex with men.

And no matter how fem. a man is, ultimatley he is still a man.

For me speaking for myself as a lesbian, woman seem to have a very close bond, even if your not gay Woman just seem to have a close bond between each other. And sex with men and woman are very differnt, and feel very differnt, emotionally as well as physically as you can imagine. lol. But anyways the point is, were attracted to ther gender, not necessarily the fact that they are fem. or mas. it's just a label for how the person feels inside.

Different strokes. Why are some men attracted to blondes and some love brunettes? They are both females. Why do some women love muscular men and some don't? It's all about what turns us on.
