Is it true that if someone applies to all the UC schools, then he will be guaranteed a spot in one?

I heard this from several people that if you are a California resident, you can get into a UC by applying to all of them, but I want to be 100% sure about this.

    No, it doesn't work that way, sorry, but some of the UC schools are much easier to get into others.
