Volume C NTFS File - How to use D instead?

I have 99% free space on my computer C drive, according to my disk fragment and 5% free space on drive D. I want to use C because I am tired of D telling me I need to free up space on it. The computer was supposedly "fixed" by my wife's grandson as a surprise to me...well, it was a surprise. How can I get into drive C for normal operation?

You need to relocate files to the C drive to free up space. Pictures, music, etc. can all be moved without harming the computers operation.

What do you mean by normal operation?

If it is just installing software you should just choose drive C as your installation drive in the setup menu.

Try using disk cleanup to free more space on drive D
