Is it safe to delete these backups? (Windows 7/Toshiba)?

I've got 2 folders that total over 150Gb that I'd like to delete, but I can't find any info on what they're for or if they're safe to remove.

They're on my D drive, one's called USER-TOSH and it's full of zip files with the name backup set and another folder called WindowsImageBackup with about 50gb in it.

Safe to delete? What do you reckon?

it is safe to delete/or formate the backup drive

only problem is when you need to reinstall fresh copy of windows in future, if there's any problem with your laptop

if you have a copy of windows on a cd, then youcan delete it and download the drivers installed on your system frm toshiba's website any time in future if required.

companies save money by not giving anymore system cds with new laptops, instead thy save em on different partition.

Backups, USER- TOSH is your computer back up. I think WindowsImageBackup, is the OS, you can delete them if you wish, but it would be better to get an outside drive for these and all of your other goodies, they will be safe if you have a crash, perish the thought.

These are recovery files, which are used to recover your laptop in case windows corrupts.

Every laptop has these files, and are hidden by default.

You can delete these files it wont affect your windows, but you may have to seek professional assistance when your windows corrupts.

You can delete WindowsImageBackup file if you want, its completely unnecessary.

I would suggest to keep the other files, unless you really want free space.
