Upgrading CPU on Gateway NV54 Laptop?
Has anyone here done this? I have googled, yahoo'd, called Gateway (Cant get through), called my usual hardware suppliers and cannot get a straight yes or no answer. So, is it possible to upgrade the CPU in the Gateway NV54? I am a former Dell Tech and worked on their laptops so disassembly shouldnt be too hard. Also, if you can upgrade, does anyone know who might sell an upgrade CPU for this machine?

Not likely, because it uses old Celeron processors. You are better off buying a new computer. To answer your second question, you could try eBay.
