Had tooth pulled and was wondering about having a drink or two.?

I just had a tooth in the front of my mouth extracted yesterday afternoon. It was done with a local anesthetic and the bleeding stopped shortly after the process was done. I was just curious seeing as it had been over 24 hours ago if it would be ok to have a drink of two that contains alcohol?

Update:

Thank you, i was just looking to see what experiences anyone has had seeing as when i left after the only thing i was told was to not smoke. Im not going to take advice that i know is false.

if youre on painkillers, then no, dont drink. if not, well, i did the day i had 4 teeth pulled. the alcohol will go into your bloodstream a lot faster as their is an open wound in your mouth. just dont overdue it, and know that seeing as alcohol does thin the blood, the blood clots that are forming where your tooth once was may not form as good or quickly if you have a drink or two. if you dont think you should, then dont. but if you wanna have a couple, go for it, just dont over do it and dont smoke.

I don't see why not. The only comment ever made to me after dental work was only not to smoke. I would have actually had a glass of wine the same night, just as I do every night.

Probably a bad idea. Wait until the drug is completely washed out of your system or ask your doctor. If he says you should be alrite... then.. whos gonna stop you?

Probably a bad idea today. You might want to call your dentist's office and double check tho.
