First check the BIOS is reading the disk drive, press Delete after switching on the computer. If not then open up the computer and push all the disc drives connections into their sockets and look at the BIOS again. If yes to the BIOS check then use Disk Management by right clicking My Computer and selecting Manage from the drop down menu, you will find Disk management under Storage.

As you state you can't play discs you are either referring to a CD/DVD or floppy disc drive and if Disk Management doesn't 'see' it than there is something wrong with the disc drive. If BIOS doesn't 'see' the disc drive then there is something wrong with the disc drive or connections.

I take it you have appeared for the rigidity E: (or despite) using Explorer and that it has easily disappeared? Assuming you have, sorry yet i won't be able to help on why it disappeared or a thank you to get it lower back. uncertain why you have chose to reformat. in the adventure that your C rigidity is virtually finished, you will desire to archive or delete some stuff. you need to sparkling out your short-term folder (%Temp) and eliminate undesirable cookies. Uninstall any utility you do no longer elect too. If this would not liberate sufficient space, you need to a 2d disk rigidity - you may get plug-in exterior drives, working example. i'd advise archiving larger archives which you do no longer elect consistently (perhaps photos?) to certainly one of those. or you need to purely purchase a bigger inner no longer straight forward rigidity for the workstation, of direction!

    1) Start menu, right click Computer, hit manage, select device manager..

Locate the DVD Drive.. Right click and uninstall it. (Restat Computer)

    2) Get a small pin and insert it into the Small hole on the DVD Drive.

    Hope it helps :)
