There is no taxis in Batangas only jeepinies ( kind of bus service ) and trices ( taxi motor bike with sidecar ) if you like to be adventurous try the trices for a trip to downtown Batangas it's 50 - 100 P or $1 - $2 US dollars. if you use the hotel transport you'll pay 600 P = $12 US. Always get a price from the trices before setting off as they will over charge as much as 10 times if you don't.

There were taxis in Batangas during the late 60s. "Perez Taxi" was the first taxi in Batangas plying the Batangas Town Proper, to Bauan, San Jose as far as Alitagtag, Cuenca,Mabini, Lipa and Taal. Perez Taxi have used the Standard Thames car units, first color was red then changed to blue. I believe it was owned by then Perez Family of Batangas, Batangas, I guess the taxi operator is related to the Perez family who is currently operating the ALPS Bus Company. Urbanity speaking, its time now for Batangas City dubbed as the Industrial Capital of Calabarzon to have fleet of taxis on the road. But first & foremost, the LGU's of Metro Batangas must decongest the current traffic problem.

Batangas is a first class province of the Philippines located on the southwestern part of Luzon in the CALABARZON region. Its capital is Batangas City and it is bordered by the provinces of Cavite and Laguna to the north and Quezon to the east. Across the Verde Island Passages to the south is the island of Mindoro and to the west lies the South China Sea. Poetically, Batangas is often referred to by its ancient name Kumintang.
Batangas is one of the most popular tourist destinations near Metro Manila. The province has many beaches and is famous for excellent diving spots including Anilao in Mabini, Sombrero Island in Tingloy, Ligpo Island in Bauan, these areas more popularly known as Anilao. Matabungkay in Lian, Punta Fuego in Nasugbu, Calatagan and Laiya in San Juan.
Batangas is also where Taal Volcano, one of the Decade Volcanoes is located. It is also where the Taal Heritage town lies, a small picturesque town that has ancestral houses and structures dating back to the 1800s.
P.S. Now that I cleared things up with where it is I need to tell you if there's taxis, and yes there is.
