There is no taxis in Batangas only jeepinies ( kind of bus service ) and trices ( taxi motor bike with sidecar ) if you like to be adventurous try the trices for a trip to downtown Batangas it's 50 - 100 P or $1 - $2 US dollars. if you use the hotel transport you'll pay 600 P = $12 US. Always get a price from the trices before setting off as they will over charge as much as 10 times if you don't.

There were taxis in Batangas during the late 60s. "Perez Taxi" was the first taxi in Batangas plying the Batangas Town Proper, to Bauan, San Jose as far as Alitagtag, Cuenca,Mabini, Lipa and Taal.
