Dragon armor skyrim upgrade?

If your smithing is already 100, then you can upgrade to legendary. At this point, it is technically at it's strongest point.

If you're like me, and preferred the dragonscale armor, then level up your light armor next.

If you went with dragonplate, then level up your heavy armor! :)

There is a ring of extreme smithing and gauntlets* so far I found, each gives about 20% to armor upgrades, wear these when upgrading and just before you do it's a good idea to use a draught of smithing.

BTW, the armor you are given after completing the escape from cidnha mine or whatever it is, gods of the something, will upgrade to flawless, but isn't particularly any good anyway.

*Gauntlets of Eminent Smithing (Elven and Orc)

You can use enchanted gear for smithing and there is a potion to up it . Even at 100 smithing I can put on gear and upgrade then added a pot and upgraded even more. Test this out by saving then see if the bump in armor value suits you.

you can upgrade it to (legendary) and people with a higher armor rating probably have perks and stuff that increases their heavy armor rating.

Legendary is the max.
