Has Anyone had dental work in Mexico?

I need to get a fair amount of dental work done, but dentists here are outrageously expensive. Everyone needs to make money but dentists in the US price gouge, and if you can't pay they don't care. I am willing to spend money, but I don't think my dental work should pay for my dentist's next luxury vehicle purchase.

The dental prices in Mexico are 25% of what they would charge in the US. I have searched the net and I have not seen anything bad about Mexican dentists. I would love to hear from some that has done it. I believe dentists are skilled but it is not brain surgery. I think supply and demand mixed with capitalism has made dentistry in the US ridiculously priced. Also, the ADA has stifled competition.

I've been to Los Algodones four times since October, 2006. In all, I've had a "fair amount" of work done -- five extractions, one root canal, one sinus boost, 18 crowns, and six implants/crowns.

I have a journal (30 pages) explaining everything from my first trip. Email me at my yahoo.com address (SuzanneFromSeattle@).

I've received dental care in both Mexico and in Thailand. You are going to save at least 50% on your dental care vs. the United States (if you do not include the cost of your flight).

The care I received in Mexico was excellent professional, clean and the quality was the same as here. Put it this way, when I got my regular cleaning and check-up here in Seattle the dentist said 'whoever did your crown' did a great job!'.

I would recommend visiting San Dental in Los Algodones Mexico:

I found them through a company called Dental Departures who pre-screens dentists world-wide for dental care.

Visit www.aboutmexicandentists.com Some of the better clinics with board certified specialists dentists in Mexico that charge the same as general dentists will even pay your airfare or hotel in Cabo or Puerto Vallarta if you are a larger treatment patient.
