Skyrim companion quest (purity of revenge)?
Ive juset completed bloods honour where you go back to Jorrvaskr and vilkas tells you that the leader has died and that you and him are to go on a mission together, but the quest hasnt come up and all the companions are still standing over dead bodies and when i try to talk to them it says 'busy' and when i talk to vilkas a quest doesnt pop up, i heard there are loads of glitches to do with this quest, but as im on xbox i cant use any codes :( anyone got any ideas?

I think it was either Farkas or Aela you need to talk to. They send you on a quest to go to the silver hand headquarters and kick some ***.
If it really is a bug, which is quite possible, you're basically out of luck until the next patch, which we are expecting within a week.

Same thing happened to me (ps3) . As far as i know the only 'fix' is to load an earlier save. (didn't do myself) Bytes the horse i know... There are multiple threads as to why this bug occurs.
Anyway, the 'busy' NPC's can be attacked w/o repercussion. I'd attack each once or maybe twice and then i was able to talk to them. I was able to get some quests then from Farkas and vilkas or whatever their names are. I DID NOT however get the 'Purity of Revenge quest' as a result of this which really bytes the horse. Yep stuck carrying around 4 ugly heads.
conclusion:
1) Wait for possible patch fix
2) load earlier save game.
