What are some good examples of lobbyists.?

I'm a first year business student struggling with my two business classes. I understand the vague idea of lobbying but I was wondering if anyone coud present me with examples.

    Basically it's anyone who pressures a Representative to vote in a particular way. The popular Lobbyist du Jour is Grover Nordquist of the group Americans for Tax Reform (or something similar) who lobbies (mainly Republican) members of Congress to not raise taxes.

    Green Energy, Tobacco, AARP, NRA, all are groups that donates money to Politicians in hope and understanding that future Bills and ideas will be put into place that favors their group. Obama does this too, in spite of his "No lobbyists in my administration" lie he told while running. Just one of many
