How many players can play survival mode in Modern Warfare 3?

The amount of players that can play survival mode is two. These two players can both be on different online profiles and play together or play split-screen on the same television. It should be noted that unlike solo survival mode, a second player may obtain air support and equipment that may already be owned by the first player (ex. two sentry guns or squads may be activated at the same time).

This may have been a move made by the creators to prevent the overuse of such kill-streaks and the large amount of cash flow allowing anyone to buy anything. Four players would also make the game much more complex and disorganized as well as making it much more difficult to lose.
