Here is an opinion pole for you?

As you probably have read the Campell family of New Jersey has had all 4 of their children removed by Children services because they named the children with Nazi inspiried names.

Opinions Please:

Does a state agency have the right to sieze children because the childrens parents gave them names that might be offensive to some groups?

Update:

@ Chewy

Although I understand your reasoning, I ask then where do we draw the line? WHo is to be the name police?

Do we take children from their parents because them names them Jesus, Osama, Allah, Mohammed?

the state has no grounds to take the kids because the parents were stupid enough to name them after nazis - however, the parents ought to have their heads examined for the stigma the kids will face as a result

Yes becuase the parents might be a little screwed up in the head and might do other things in the future besides just giving them those names. They may hurt them or teach them to hurt and maybe someday kill others. Someone doesn't just name a person those names without the intention of doing other things, their future will probably be worse with a family like that. It is most likely a good thing they were removed.

Though true technically they most likely have no legal right in my opinion to do that, except for probabol cause, though it is probably for the better.
