How is a fetus a part of a woman's body?

It has a separate DNA sequence.

Plus, the only thing that is exchanged is blood. So does a blood transfusion make the receiver part of the donor's body? The receiver relies on the donor to live?

The idea that a fetus is part of a woman's body seems illogical and I suspect that its an emotions based claim.

Update:

Read it all before you comment on the fetus being dependent!

The fetus cannot survive independent of its mother's body. So, according to the pro-choice argument, it is incorrect to consider the fetus as a whole independent person.

the Fetus cannot survive with out her right ? she has the right to expel the fetus which is alive thanks to her as crude it might sound .

    edit :

the adult analogy its actually pretty ridiculous , an adult OBVIOUSLY is not inside her anymore .

i am gonna add to this than the Census doesn't count fetuses inside women's bodies , nor anyone would say i have 3 children ( for example ) counting a fetus .

Jacob your analogy doesn't work either , you need the willingness of the person donating blood for you to survive , the Doctors don't just use the first they find or a member or your family is forced to do so ... and yes you own your life to the person giving you the blood ( if that ever happened ) which decided to give you life willingly .. so sure we could say than at least in that moment when the blood its going out of the donor towards the one receiving they both in a way become one but the donor is independent the one receiving the blood its not .

I describe it as reproduction. The body is asking for to bypass its genes via recreating itself. Unborn children are said as fetuses because they don't look to be a parasite getting into the body unknowingly or via exterior rigidity of get entry to. that is the bodies own want to reproduce. that is named a fetus because the be conscious has no connotations in course of if the child is needed or not, the position as a parasite is often undesirable. a lady's potential over her unborn children are equivalent to the powers of a Landlord, she is the unique proprietor of the area she occupies and such can pick what to do with it. somewhat one is now not element of the lady's body even as it exits by utilising one skill or yet another.

If a fetus is a part of the womans body then a 40 year old is still a part of the moms body and can be legally killed by the mom since its her body.
