Why is it I always start a conversation with my guy friend?
Well, we've been texting constantly, but I'm the one that always start it (although they go into many short conversations). Also, when we see each other in school, we still talk, but it's not the same, because he's more quieter. I don't know what to do because he doesn't seem to mind that we talk (in fact, I think that he has told me some stuff that he doesn't want anyone else to know), yet when we talk in school, he's a bit more quieter and more 'serious'.

People are different in school situations, but it seems like he enjoys talking to you. Guys don't give these things much thought, so he probably doesnt notice you're always the one making the effort, he probably just enjoys talking to you when you're there. Just enjoy being his friend and don't worry whether he is bothered by you or not because if he disliked talking to you then he wouldn't :)
