Is it possible to play Final Fantasy X-2 international/PAL on an NTSC PS2?

I know that FF X-2 international has 2 additional dresspheres that I would love to play with. I bought my PS2 in Canada (so I'm assuming it plays the NTSC version of things), and this version doesn't have the bonus dresspheres.

Is there a way to play the international version on my PS2?

If the international version can't be played on my PS2, does the PAL version have these dresspheres?

If the PAL has the dresspheres, can an NTSC console play PAL games?

If I can play either the international version or the PAL version on my PS2, is there something I need to do to my PS2? Some sort of disc swapping?

Any helpful answers would be greatly appreciated.

If there's technical stuff involved, please be as detailed as if you were speaking to a child; I'm SO not tech-savvy. : P

Thanks so much in advance for any and all help. : )

PAL format can't normally be played on NTSC systems and vice versa due to the difference in circuitry. If you tried doing it then you would get really trippy graphics and no colour on your screen. I've heard that there's a way to convert discs for compatibility and such, but it requires a chip to be installed in your console to be able to play it and it's illegal.

Since FFX-2 International + Last Mission wasn't released outside of Japan, it has a region lock (NTSC-J) on it that only Japanese consoles may play. So other than modifying your current console, your best choice is to purchase a Japanese PS2. If you end up buying the PAL version of the game, then you'll need to purchase an Australian or European console to play it. If you can understand Japanese for the Last Mission segment, I suggest you go with the first option.

you are able to play X-2 first no issue. the only ingredient you pass over from the story is the main important character from X fell in love with Yuna, and vanished mysteriously. of direction, pass purchase X, because it somewhat is a a ways extra suited game whilst in comparison with X-2.
