Which kind of doctor can check hormone levels properly?

My doctor tells me there "probably"wont be anything found, but I feel like sh*t and keep feeling bad.

I want my levels properly checked!! Which kind of specialist do I need for that?

Update:

@noa

Thank you! that's the term/doctor I was looking for!!

It's for a friend who's suicidal, unless she takes the pill.... seems there's more to it than that, and her personal doctor is a stupid cow, so she needs to know where to go.

Thank you!!!

    An endocrinologist... But normally your own Doctor would do the first bloods to get the ball rolling. If there is anything found you'd then be referred to a specialist.

    If it's to do with periods etc you'd be referred to a Ob/Gyny.
