Flaky Skin on my face! Help me?

I normally have oily, acne prone skin, but recently I have been using acne medications that have dried up my face and made it really flaky. If I put lotion on, I will break out. Any idea how to get rid of the flakes?

Keep using what you're using, but buy an oil-free acne fighting moisturizer. I have Clean & Clear. It really works. After each time you clean your face, put on the moisturizer and tada! But usually, it gets extra flaky in the winter, so if it's not working, take hot showers and let the steam really fly and use Vitamin E oil. Hope I helped. :)

I have this same problem, minus the acne. What I do that seems to be working, is wash my face in the shower using a cotton wash cloth. It kind of exfoliates my skin and gets the dead skin off without being harsh. Then right after the shower I use a face lotion made for oily skin. Good luck!

You have to exfoliate at least three times a week maybe more if needed. Also, if the acne medication is drying out your skin stop using it and find a different medication.

You could put a hot rag on your face.
