  • Am I overweight for a girl?

Okay, I am a fifteen year old girl, 5 foot 11 inches, and about 120 pounds. (It fluctuates, sometimes as low as 117 or as high as 123) I dont know why I weigh so much! All my friends weigh less than me! Most of then are a little shorter than me, so that makes up for some of it, but still. Is this overweight? My friends say I am skinny but my mom says I am fat.

  • GUYS: do you find tall girls unattractive?

I am a model, five foot 10 (in my bare feet) , with a short blondish highlighted pixie cut, green eyes and tan/olive skin. I have always been pretty confident but my friend told me recently that guys are intimidated by me and think tall girls/girls with short hair are "unfeminine". ick. so, what do you think? Do either of those things bother you? Would you ever go out with a girl your height or taller?

just kinda wondering.. thanks so much! Promise I won't get offended ;)

  • I am a TOTAL girly girl, and I'm being forced to go camping! Help!?

Ok, so I am 14 and a complete California city girl. Im pretty normal for where and how I live, but my best friends mom signed me up for this camp and i am TERRIFIED. She is like a second mom to me, and she is a really pretty businessy designer, always super on top of everything and I have known her pretty much my whole life, I alsways just say she is my aunt, she is always does sweet stuff for me. But she thinks camping is good for you and this year she signed her daughter (my friend) and me both up. And she payed for it and everything, so im kinda stuck. And I'm really worried I don't think I am cut out for this. It's like a week and a half long girls camp, in the woods, the wilderness. I think you sleep in like tents and dirt floor log cabins. And hike and cook over a fire and all that stuff. I have only camped once before but it was not a good experience! And that was when I was like 10! I hate dirt and bugs. And I am so worried their won't be bathrooms or mirrors, or that we wont be able to shower or we will have to pee in the forest. I mean, I take a hot shower every day, use shampoo, conditioner, soap, shave everyday... i also have had some trouble with acne, and I use a special facial wash and body wash as well as medication on my face and back every day to control and prevent acne. I wear contact lenses too. And I wear kind of a lot of makeup. Most days I wear foundation, a little blush, lipgloss, some subtle eyeshadow, and mascara. Even on a light days I wear concealer and mascara and lip balm or something on my lips. I usually straighten my hair, sometimes I curl it or braid it or style it up. I wear stuff like skirts and jeggings and sandals or heels or boots, lacy scarves, earrings. This is a camp for teenage girls who are really into camping and backpacking entrepenering (is that a word?) and stuff like that. I am going to be a fish out of water. I mean three of my friends are going but they are all athletic and dont wear makeup or anything. None of my girly friends are going. PLEASE, advice on how to camp for girls?!?! How do you manage it? Thank you so much?

  • Is it normal to be thirteen and never dated?

I'm a thirteen year old girl, and have never been on a date, never had a boyfriend, never kissed a boy, barely talk to boys. I mean, I'm straight, and have had crushes and stuff, but that's really it. A lot of my friends date, and have boyfriends they make out with and stuff. I even know a couple girls who have had sex. Like, I would NOT be ready for that, but I still feel like maybe there is something wrong with me that no one likes me? I have good friends, but they are all girls, and I normally have good self confidence. I think I am pretty, I am tall and skinny with curly blonde hair and green eyes, I get straight As and am SUPER nice to people, but no guys are interested in me! Is this normal or really lame at my age?!?!?

  • Should teenagers (opposite sex) share a bedroom?

Is it all right for teenage siblings, a boy and a girl, to share a room if space is an issue? They have always been fine with it until now, but my daughter is very uncomfortable and wants her own room desperately. My son doesn't seem to mind. Is it all right for me to keep this situation up, just through the rest of middle school and high school, or should they have their own rooms?

Oh, and also the room is very small, too small to hang a curtain or divide the room in half. But they have bunkbeds. So really, they each have their own bed and dresser... So that is reasonable, really, isn't it? Or not?

I'm sorry if it's silly, but I am kind of nervous. I am flying from San Francisco to Phoenix Arizona. My friend told me if you are under 18 you have to go to a "kids room" What's that like? I've never been on a plane before and I am kinda afraid of heights, is it scary? Thank you sooo much for the help!

  • At what age are kids too old to share a room?

Is it fair for teenage siblings, a boy and a girl, to have to share a room? The boy doesn't care, but the girl is uncomfortable and hates sharing a room with her brother. Is it reasonable for their parents to make them share a bedroom if they want their own space?

  • Teenage girl issue with family? Am I overreacting? Please help me!! :)?

I am a very mature 14 year old high school girl and still have to share a room with my very immature 10 year old brother. I liked sharing a room with my baby brother when I was in elementary school, but things are different now. The door has no lock, and my parents won't let me put one on because they say I would lock myself in the room all day and it wouldn't be fair to my brother because it is his room too. I always tell him "Please don't come into the bedroom, I am changing" but he doesn't listen, or he forgets, or he really doesn't give a crap. Recently I have been changing in the bathroom most of the time because I am so sick of him walking in on me! This wouldn't be so bad if he would cooperate a little with me, but he is mean and immature and thinks it is funny when he walks in on me. I never have privacy, time to be by myself to just read or listen to music and get away from this kid. That never happens. He is a nightmare. He wrecks the room, makes a mess. If I leave money or valuables on my dresser he will steal them. He will dance around the room holding my bra up to his chest and giggling, trying to make me mad. One time, he found a box of my pads and he started opening them up, taking them, saying "What are these, what are these?" This whole situation is awkward and miserable for me but my parents never listen. They love him so much, he is their little baby, and they don't understand why I wouldn't want to be around him constantly. And they are planning to keep this arrangement until I go to college. This will be even worse when he hits puberty. I am so mad, I have considered moving out. I have a couple friends who have big houses with spare bedrooms, and they would be happy to have me. Am I overreacting? Would you be comfortable with this if it were you? Are my parents being unreasonable? Am I? Thank you so much for the help, I will be so grateful!!!

  • Quick word search question? :)?

Ok, so in the word 'indignant' there are six smaller words- in, dig, I, a, an, ant. What little words are "hidden" in the big words 'apprehension' and 'sarcastic'.

  • Do you think it is a good idea to pierce your ears twice?

I have pierced my earlobes once years ago, and am thinking about getting a piercing a little higher than that, like maybe right before the cartilage starts. Lots of girls at my school have done this and I like the way it looks. Has anyone tried it? Do you like it? Did it hurt more than getting your lobes pierced?

  • Flaky Skin on my face! Help me?

I normally have oily, acne prone skin, but recently I have been using acne medications that have dried up my face and made it really flaky. If I put lotion on, I will break out. Any idea how to get rid of the flakes?

  • How long does it take for a pimple to go away after you pop it?

I got a HUGE cystic pimple on my nose, and I used hot compresses on it for a couple days to make it come to a head. Then I popped it. I know you aren't supposed to pop pimples, but this one wouldn't go away. Now the place where there was a big hard lump is flattened out, but the skin there is red and irritated, a little scabby. How long is it going to be like this? How can I make it heal up faster? Please help! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! :)

  • What is the legal age requirement to work in California?

I am a mature, responsible 13-going-on-14 year old girl living in California. I come from a family in which money is always an issue. I have been babysitting, catsitting, bunnysitting, etc for a couple years now, but need a more consistent income. Obviously, when I am able to work, I will do so during the summer and around my school hours (I am a straight-A student). I have heard some people say that I can get a work permit at my age, but I have also heard that it is illegal to work before the age of 16. Does anyone know how to obtain a work permit and at what age I will be able to do so? All answers are appreciated, thank you.
