Honestly, I would stay very far away from this trend. You'll just feel silly. Leave the shorts for summer.

Shorts over tights is great, go for a dressy color or pattern in the tights, and team it up with plain but not to loose shorts, a tank top would definitely look good!

This is just my opinion, but everyone hs different perspectives. Denim shorts with tights are ok, maybe with some ugh brown or colourful ugh boots and a tshirt that goes with the boots. :)
