Considering rice is the main staple over there, they have hundreds of different ways to prepare it. Boiled rice is common at home, steamed rice (bai fan) is usually good and readily available in restaurants, but my favourite was the egg fried rice (dan chao fan), inexpensive, and there's usually bits of tiny cubed vegetable and (to my initial surprise) little cubes of ham or something (the translators never really told me what it was) in it. Very tasty.
