Is my finger infected?
Ok I accidentally cut my finger on my braces wire yesterday while flossing. I didn't think it was a big deal, but this morning when I woke up, a tiny part of my finger is white, swollen, and hurts when I touch it. I also felt a little nauseous today....could I have somehow infected my self? I heard bacteria in your mouth can be dangerous when they get under your skin!
Should I see a doctor?

Well, I don't really think you should go to the doctor UNLESS you are scared about it. If your scared then maybe you should go to the doctor to get it over with. Keep an eye on it too. It may be infected by what is sounds like though. I hope I'm not scaring you or anything.

If the cut is still open, CLEAN it --- wash it good with warm soapy water, TREAT it --- put some antibiotic ointment on it, and COVER it --- put a bandage on it.
