PLEASE READ: I think i'm going to kill myself after this happend?
Basically, I used to have mousey brown, medium legnth, quite fine, straight hair.. Very boring, I know, and I knew it... Although looking back on the photos now, it did suit me, even though I hated it.
So I got highlights (blonde), but after each time I got them re-done, after a few days i'd notice the colour fade and not look very blonde at all which frustrated me. What made it more frustrating, was even though the colour was not as I wanted, it was still damaging the condition of my hair and making it look thinner, so I got some strips of fake blonde hair to add in, like extension, just only strips and only affecting the thrickness and not the legnth.
Anyway, I still wanted to be blonder, so in the summer holidays I used several home dyes to achieve the light blonde colour I wanted, and this co insiderd with me starting a new school. As you can imagine, my hair condition was now wrecked, so I ended up buying long blonde extensions and wearing them in my hair, but always in a side ponytail so it wasn't, like if I had been wearing it down, so obvious it was extensions. But like the whole ponytails fake.
However, I would still get people ask me if I was wearing extensions, which upset me, but I just said no, I wasn't. (lie.) and move on.
But today, this girl asked me for the second time if I had extensions in, again I said i did not, but this time she whisperd stuff to her friend about me, and then her friend said something, and they were laughing and talking about me, saying stuff about extensions. I got so paranoid I left the room, ended up having a panc attack and being sent home. The thing is, I cannot go out without my exensions, my real hair is a horrible state and everyone would be shocked, but now im afraid of getting teased and am destraught people know. So I have come to the conclusion I will kill myself. I have no real friends anyway, no one would miss me, my family constantly complain of me, the boy I really like hates me now... Just i'm not sure of a good method? Any suggestions, and any comments on my story would be appreciated.

Seriously? First: get a grip. It's just hair. Secondly get a haicut- go for the pixie look, it'll look cool and no-one will know how screwed up your hair is. Now I think I might kill MYSELF over the utterly ridiculous problems other people have...

Ive been dying my hair for years. Its thin, brittle and falls out like crazy. I cant even let it grow too far past my shoulders or it breaks off. It happens. your not alone. I still dye my hair, but instead of dying my whole head, I touch up the roots. there are some safer dyes out there you can use. and who cares if you wear exstentions! If I could afford them, Id wear them EVERY DAY!! Maybe the other girls are just jealous because your hair looks better then theirs! =)
I really dont think there is anything to worry about. Hair is Hair, and it grows back. Everyone has hair issues. Maybe let is grow out for now. Let the color fade out. It will get healthier and thicker. Ive been using a lather shampoo by Paul Mitchell. Its called Awapuhi. Its AMAZING! I can tell already my hair is getting stronger. Ive been using it over a month though, so it does take time. And its expensive.
I hope this helps some. Its not worth getting this upset over. Always remember, your not the only one. And there is always someone out there that has it worse then you! Chin up Girl!! =)

Wow Lucy, you've got a lot going on making you unhappy, haven't you? Please believe me when I tell you that it's not worth getting this upset over your hair. I had my hair permed when I was a teenager and by the time it had grown out, I had about half the amount of hair I used to and I have had to learn to live with what is now very fine and very thin hair for over 30 years. My stylist is sympathetic and helps me by cutting it in a style that flatters it and I help myself by using products for body and lift and blow drying it. It is amazing what you can do to hide the truth with hair. Please get yourself to a reputable salon and let them help you start bringing it back to a better condition. A short crop or choppy bob could work wonders and let you ditch the extensions.
I'm sure things seems desperate because you are also lonely and having difficulty settling into a new school. These girls who are singling you out for attention clearly have their own issues - bullying tends to be a cover for insecurity so it's easy for them to hide behind a "let's upset the new girl" routine. Is there a teacher that you could confide in who could give you some support?
You say your parents complain about you - maybe they are a little tired of you being obsessed with your hair. Why don't you tell your parents how unhappy you are? They may not realise how difficult you are finding things at the moment and would be dismayed if they realised you think they don't want you around. I'm sure they love you very much.
It would be a terrible waste if you tried to kill yourself over this. You have a whole life ahead of you and it can be wonderful. Please talk to somebody you trust about how you are feeling and get some help, counselling or whatever you need to get you through this. Good luck!

There is nothing in the world that should make somebody kill themselves. If things are bad then you need to talk to somebody inside of school. I know how it feels to have the boy you like hate you, after all I fancied him for four years and I`ve only just realised there are other boys that actually care about you. At the end of the day, you shouldnt care if someone is saying stuff about you because if they are harsh enough to say that then honestly they arent worth worrying about. Its just hair and as a 14 year old girl on my dads account I know how it feels to feel unloved by your parents. It feels horrible and i`ve realised they do love you as much as possible and if people dont like you then really, you shouldnt be bothered and you should see it as their loss, its whats inside that counts not what you look like and if they cant be bothered to look in side the person that you are then its their own losss. Please dont kill your self as it would be a terrible loss to society and although it doesnt seem like it then remember there are people out there who love you. Praying for you... xxxxx

Suicide is not the answer y'know, just because you're hair isn't at it's greatest does not mean you should kill yourself over a little teasing. I'm an overweight kid whos had people pokin fun at him all his life and never once have I contemplated suicide. With a little care and some time your hair will be good as new again. :D

if you really want to be blonde, stop messing around with home hair dyes. it takes some skill to do this right, so have a beautician do it for you the right way. you'll feel much better about yourself. they may even be able to suggest a better hair style that suits your face better and bring out your inner charm. good luck!

Please holy mother of god don't kill yourself. IT GETS MUCH BETTER. I've been through all that ****. I hated it so much. You wanna know what, you are beautiful! Beautiful with or without your extensions. Because 1) everyone in their existence of teenager hood has done something stupid or embarrassing and 2) your whole life does not revolve around those stupid people you do or don't like. I'm almost graduated and I can't wait to start my life. I have decided everything is just going to be amazing, and YOU SHOULD TOO, because it just will be. Please don't. Please be strong.
