Who is in the wrong in this situation?
We do not have a lock on our bathroom door. this morning i got up and had a shower and my dad came in to the bathroom. "dad, i'm in here, please go away!" i yelled. He didnt knock or anything and you can hear the water of the shower before you reach the bathroom. also, the bathroom door was closed. he didn't go so i yelled more and he yelled at me and i know i shouldn't have yelled but he goes "how am i supposed to brush my teeth?" and i go "Wait 5 minutes, i'll be out in five minutes!" "5 minutes is too long!" he said. so he got all annoyed and then he went and got mum and she yelled at me too! Who is in the wrong? i am 15 years old and i know i shouldn't of yelled so much, i could have asked him calmly. in the end he left but i feel that what he did was wrong. Who was in the wrong?

Your Father has seen you naked hundreds of times.
He has changed your diapers when you were young.
You over reacted, & he should have realized that you need more privacy now.
There was a shower curtain, so it's not like he saw you...

Oh my gosh that happened 2 me when I'm in my room. my parents knock or just ask a question or something and when I ask "yes? or what?" they think that allows them to come in and if I say don't come I they kinda get a lil suspicious ok well I don't think you should yell at him but yeah ask calmly and I would just let him brush his teeth really fast or take a shower earlier or later I would like to agree with u but I think your dad is right for this 1 maybe talk it out or something and yeah my mom can just come out of nowhere and open the door when I am in the bathroom I just ask her if she can wait but I keep the door closed and also if they would not get mad lock the door

i believe your right bc ur pretty grown already where you deserve some privacy, lets say you just turned on the water n was waiting for the temp to b right n u were naked then it would of been a worse and super awkward, maybe u should apologize for screaming at him u then calmly n rationally point out to your parents that u are not a lil girl and u deserve a lil privacy especially in the bathroom a very intimate space and give them a few reasons so they can understand ur side and maybe respect u enough to make a few sacrifices!
good luck love! i grew up with my dad and at a young age HE told me i had to start doing things alone bc i was getting older and the first time i told him to leave while i was using the bathroom was also the last time he was ever sharing the space with me i was lucky it was easy but again good luck love!!

Your Father should have knocked on the door -you should not have gotten so over excited and yelled at him. He also could have brushed his teeth in the kitchen. I believe the children should respect their parents. You were still in the shower and he could not see you right ?

I dont really think either of you were wrong, but let's just say if i knew someone was in a hurry, i'd let them brush their teeth while I was in the shower, in fact i have done that plenty of times with my sister and mother

Your dad was in the wrong. No man has any business walking into a bathroom when there's a naked 15 year old in the shower. The fact that he's your dad makes no difference. If he knows you shower in the morning then he should have had the presence of mind to go get his toothbrush before you went in and do it in the kitchen.
