if its the only card on the field during the endphase does its effect destroy it self?? ex: like if my opponent used dark hole and thats all

If this face-up card on the field would be destroyed, you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card instead. Once per turn, during the End Phase, if this effect was used this turn: Target 1 card on the field; destroy it."
Yes, if neither player controls no cards. This can however be easily avoided by setting spell or trap cards to take the blow for it.

Yeah, its effect is mandatory so if its the only card on the field it has to destroy itself, i think you could detatch another material from it to save it

Yup, it will have to target itself if its effect was used during that turn and it is the only thing left.
