Internet media box needed for TV?
I have been looking for a media box for my TV, and I am unsure what to go for. I would like it to have an internet browser, and be able to watch BBC i-player, 4od, ITV player, Chanel 5od, YouTube an so on.
It must have free-view HD as well, preferably with a good sized hard drive which I could record programs on two.
I have seen the "Boxee Box" but I am not to sure if that's the best, any suggestions would be most helpful as I am sick of hooking up my laptop now an again.

Your looking for a totally open setup yet none of them have all the assets YET......you do have a good point get a cheap tower place it near the TV using a PCI to HDMI card as then play away especially for BBC i-player, 4od, ITV player, Chanel 5od, and other direct feeds
Or look at Roku 2 as it has more to offer and is gettingmore channels than most...

in case you easily must have something on the internet take place on your television you certainly desire your pc.Media containers as a rule supply you some form of channel line-up no longer an entire blown browser. working example is BBC streaming on the internet? it ought to no longer be on a media field and you will desire your direct connection for that. interior the U. S. the three maximum standard containers have been, from least confusing to maximum technical Roku AppleTV Boxee i for my section like Roku yet i exploit it to get particularly Netflix. I combine this with an outdoors antenna to get off air pronounces.
