Pvc glue release toxins in water???

I need to seal pvc pipe that WILL have aqaurium water runing through it can i use the pvc glue to do it?? Or can i use sumthimg better or safer? ( if not sealed it has a slow drip )

    PVC glue is ok once dried, don't overuse the primer(purple) or don't use it at all, and let it dry before using the pipe. Use one or two layers of teflon pipe tape on threaded connections, don't over use the tape it will lead to leaks.

    It's definitely aquarium safe. The PVC pipes that carry drinking water or aquarium water through a reef tank have to be glued together somehow.

    Just make sure its completely dry before using it.

    Proper PVC glue will be safe once it's cured. It's probably what's used to stick the pipes that carry water to your taps together, so it it wasn't safe you would have bigger problems already.
