you can also upgrade the R4i SDHC card, so it can work on Nintendo DSi V1.4.3, DSi V1.4.2 and all other version. But you need to download a patch, and use a DS or DSi V1.4.1 console to upgrade the card.

it will only upgrade if you go onto dsi shop . My sister and i play on black and white together and it has no effect on the r4i but if you go onto the dsi shop it will try to upgrade your ds and that will cause the r4i to stop working on your ds.

If your R4i sdhc card is R4i sdhc v1.4.1,v1.4.2 or v1.4.3,you can upgrade your r4i card before upgrade your DSi.
