when will i know the sex of the baby?

i am on my first pregnancy now yay!!! i was just wondering when i will be able to tell what the baby is does anyone know how far along i have to be to know this

    Usually at your 20 weeks scan although this is not always possible if the baby is at an odd angle and they don't get a clear view. Congratulations :)

    They can find out as early as 16 weeks, but they usually tell you at your 20 week scan.

    They do this because the sex is more clear and definite.

    At my 20 week scan they couldn't tell at first because my daughter was in the wrong position.

    By the end of the scan she had moved and I found out I was having a sweet little baby girl (:

  • This is my first pregnancy too! Yay... anyway on to your question. I found out at 18 weeks on 3D ultrasound. The technician or whoever said she was in a good place and asked me and bf if we wanted to know. But on regular ultrasounds it's generally around 20 weeks.

    Usually they do the gender scan anytime between 18 & 22 weeks. Congrats!

    As early as 16 weeks but usually around 20 weeks is when the do the anatomy and gender scan.Congrats! `

    I found out each time at 18 weeks, via a regular 2D scan.
