im thinking of starting my own business but dont know how to work out the product sale price

1. Take your buying price.
2. Estimate how many you expect to sell a day. (Do not be over optimistic)
3. Work out your overheads rent, light, power, rates etc. in other words all your costs per day.
4, Divide by the number you expect to sell. That plus your purchase price should give you your costs.
5. Decide how much you wish to earn a day. (Pay attention to the tax and NHI you have to pay.)
6. If you employ any one take their costs into account.
7. Remember you will be paying accountants at the years end, they do not come cheap.
8. Take all your costs add them together work out how much profit you want above all the other cost.
9. Find out how much other people charge for a similar product. if you are below them you are OK if you are to far below purchasers might think it is to cheap to be true so up it a bit.
