Female names that mean 'bird'?
I would like some name suggestions that are linked with birds, feathers, flying, specific bird species etc.
Thank you!
If it helps at all, the name is for a horse (a showjumper)

Kestrel! It's a kind of birds and it's sometimes used as a girls' name. I think it would be a fantastic name for a horse.
Or ...
Larkin
Cygnus - It's the Greek word for swan, and it's also a constellation. This would probably work better for a boy horse, but it could work on a female. Cygne is the French word for swan and might be more feminine, but it loses the constellation reference.
Altair - It means "the flyer" in Arabic and is the name of a star. Again, it might be better for a boy horse but I think that it could work on a girl.
Aquila - It means "eagle" (I think in Latin, but maybe Greek?) and is the name of a constellation.
