PS3 is not working properly?
Okay, so I turned on my PS3 and it started up, well on the TV the picture of the PS3 won't come up. I have all the cables plugged in and I'm on the right channel but it's not showing up. What's the problem?
Nope, using the good ol yellow, white, and red connection unfortunately.

Need more information.
Was this ps3 previously hooked-up to a HD tv set?
If so, you will need to have someone who owns a ps3 guide you through the number of 'rights' and 'lefts' 'ups' and 'downs' to go to the video output setting on your PS3's XMB to switch the output from HD to composite.
Or just read this, which does the same thing:
With the PS3 off, hold the power button for 5 seconds so it beeps twice (2 single beeps, not a double beep as the other person said). This forces the PS3 to reset the video and use the current video connection.

You may have to reset your screen resolution, if you are using an HDMI connection;
1. Ensure the system is powered off completely (Switch at back is off)
2. Power on standby (red light)
3. Hold the on button until you hear 2 beeps
This should reset your resolution to a lower one where you should be able to set it to the appropriate one.
