error P0463 in engine code?
I drive a 2007 Chevy Malibu and my engine light came on so I went to have an engine diagnostics test done and he said it came back with error code P0463 which is the fuel level sensor. My fuel gauge will be fine at one point then drop down to empty suddenly and the low fuel light will come on then after while it will jump back up.
What will I need to do to fix the problem?

Yes, code P0463 set if, the fuel level signal is greater than 3 volts or 98 percent. For more than 10 seconds.
Check the fuel tank level as read through the scan tool and compare this reading to the level of fuel in the tank.
If the fuel tank level reading and level of fuel in the tank are the same, clear the code and see if it resets. If the code doesn't reset the problem isn't present, but there is
an under vehicle wiring harness that is exposed to road debris and could possibly become damaged. Carefully inspect the wiring harness that comes out of the right rear floor pan area at connector # 413. The harness has a loop that is located in front of the EVAP canister, and may show signs of damage or wear. Make sure to inspect all the wiring in the harness carefully. If all of the wiring looks fine then replace the fuel level sender unit.

There has to be a connection problem. Chrysler has alot of problems with their connectors, there may be an update to the harness for the sensor. Fuel/air mix is not always pcv. You need to look into mass air flow sensor, intake gaskets, or just a vac leak. Check the connections and hang in there.
